Here at Michael Roberts we offer a comprehensive  jewellery and watch repair service at affordable prices. We carry out work in platinum and silver as well as all purities of gold. Our service ranges from a simple ring re-sizing or chain repair, to the alteration or complete rebuilding of your treasured items - including supplying diamonds and other precious stones if required. We can also re-string your pearls,  plus solder charms onto charm bracelets and fit replacement watch batteries and straps.

In store, we can quote for the most simple repair jobs while you wait. More complex work needs to be sent to our goldsmith for an estimate before proceeding. There is no charge for these estimates and you are under no obligation to proceed at any stage.

We also offer a full jewellery valuation service. We understand that jewellery and other valuable belongings can be highly sentimental and that some pieces may even have been passed down through many generations. Our valuations are carried out by fully qualified professionals and include:
 

• A detailed description of each item including stone measurements, colour and clarity of stones, metal types and weight

• Insurance replacement values

• Colour images of each piece

• Explanatory notes on terms and abbreviations

• An Insurer Notice to pass to your insurance company

• Registration to the central e-register database with free access via My Portfolio
